UK Parking Control have an exciting opportunity for a Regulatory and Compliance Assistant to join the team.
Location: Wooburn Green, Buckinghamshire
Salary: £22,000 – £24,000 per annum
Reporting to: Legal Manager (regulatory and compliance)
Regulatory and Compliance Assistant – The Role:
This role will require the successful candidate to have a key understanding of how regulation and compliance sits within a commercial organisation. The candidate must be able to demonstrate and have a good understanding of Data Protection laws and legislation relevant to the parking industry. The candidate must be able to demonstrate that they can assess and advise the business on regulatory and compliance matters.
The role will involve your development and understanding of specific laws which relate to the parking industry, and you may be required to advise and liaise with law firms to help safeguard the company in an industry with a dynamically changing legal and compliance framework.
Regulatory and Compliance Assistant – Key Responsibilities:
– Ensuring full compliance with accredited trade association, independent appeals service and regulation and codes of practice prepared by government departments or their appointed bodies
– Conducting mock regulatory style internal audits
– Conducting spot checks in line with regulatory frameworks on all departments
– Auditing client contracts and customer service information
– Assist in maintaining and implementing companywide compliance policies and procedures
– Assist in preparation of the BPA annual audit
– Assisting the completion of the audits
– Assist with any issues relating to the ICO
– Provide general assistance to Legal Manager (regulatory and compliance) as required
Regulatory and Compliance Assistant – You:

Experience Knowledge & Skills:
– A good understanding of compliance related issues
– Ideally educated to degree level or able to demonstrate a strong understanding of regulation and compliance

– Deal professionally with all types of stakeholders (internal and external)
– Positive attitude and resilient when faced with challenging and difficult situations
