Purchasing and Inventory Controller

£30,000 to £32,000 DOE

My market leading client who design, manufacture and distribute their wholesale products is looking for an experienced Purchasing and Inventory Controller to join their busy team. As a Purchasing and Inventory Controller you will be responsible for assigned product categories and names National Accounts. This is a role with a wide remit for both stock management and managing ranges/stock for national accounts.

The Role

Utilising the stock management system and business reporting tools to maintain optimum stock levels and targeted stock turns within allocated budgets
From point of order to delivery you will manage the supply chain process in conjunction with the shipping team.
Analysing third party forecasts and generating reports/data analysis for key accounts
Take responsibility and ownership of assigned Product Categories as well as named National Account Customers. The Person

The ideal candidate will have several years' experience of working in a purchasing / inventory environment
Be able demonstrate a strong commercial and analytical mindset and work well individually and as part of a team.
The role will require an ability to ensure effective and reasoned inventory planning at category and SKU level, utilising considered data analysis combined with product and commercial knowledge to ensure optimisation of stock levels.
