The Role
We’re looking for an organised, self motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Town Build Team. This role would suit someone who has experience at coordinating an Openreach PIA type environment. The role will involve communicating between the Project planning, sales and network planning, surveying, and Civils teams to ensure the consistent progression of plans and resolution of issues from planning to completion of works within the PIA environment.
Key responsibilities
Working with our internal teams (Civils, Planning, Surveyors) and external (Council, Transport) to ensure the installation of fibre networks to the customer as fluidly as possible
Read and understand technical network designs
Ability to understand survey reports and adapt utilising all alternative options for Fibre build (PIA, overhead, buried)
Ability to liaise with external companies and agencies to facilitate the installations required, such as Pole agreements, Traffic Management
Ability to undertake administration of Openreach PIA CP portal along with and Joint User Pole agreements
Work effectively reporting into your line manager any risks of delay with build and thinking ahead with challenges to suggest alternative options to ensure continuation of build schedule minimising or avoiding delay of build
Communicate and liaise between multiple teams of plans and issues
Maintain excellent customer service and approach supporting Wessex Internet Values
Working in accordance of Health and Safety requirements for WI Employees and Customers
Understand and ensure relevant legislation and requirements are being upheld
Skill/Character Requirements
Essential – experience of working with Openreach PIA portal, A55’s, NOI’s, Whereabouts, Build Completions
Clear and precise communication skills across a variety of deliveries
Work autonomously and self-motivate in an organised manner
Required licence or certification: Driving Licence
