We are looking for an experience Customer Service /Reception professional to join our Milton Keynes-based GP Surgery as a Receptionist on a part time, temporary to permanent, basis. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role and the ability to pick up new systems quickly.

Position: Medical Receptionist- Part time      

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.00am – 2.00pm OR (phone number removed)pm

(a week-by-week mix of the early and late shift may be considered)

Salary: £8.91ph

The job will involve…

–          Booking appointments for patients with the required professional  

–          Using SystmOne (no experience required)

–          Supporting colleagues to maintain an efficient and friendly team atmosphere

–          Dealing with general enquiries from patients and visitors in a helpful and efficient manner

–          Greeting patients, doctors and visitors at Reception in a polite and friendly manner

–          Answering the telephone promptly and courteously

–          Making appointments using the computerised appointments system

–          Assisting patients to complete new registration forms

–          Assisting with any other administration required

–          Administering the procedure for repeat prescriptions.

The Person will…

–          Have previous experience as a Receptionist or in a customer service-focussed role (required)

–          Be able to pick up new systems and ways of working quickly

–          Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

–          Have the ability to multi task and work in a fast paced environment

–          Have a keen eye for detail

–          Be able to work to strict deadlines but also have a flexible approach to their work   

–          Be competent in the use of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
