We are looking for an Experienced Medical Receptionist to join our Milton Keynes-based GP Surgery on a part time, temporary to permanent, basis. The successful candidate will have previous experience using SystmOne within a GP Surgery receptionist position.

Position: Experienced Medical Receptionist- Part time      

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.00am – 2.00pm

Salary: £8.91ph

The job will involve…

–          Booking appointments for patients with the required professional  

–          Using SystmOne (experience required)

–          Supporting colleagues to maintain an efficient and friendly team atmosphere

–          Dealing with general enquiries from patients and visitors in a helpful and efficient manner

–          Greeting patients, doctors and visitors at Reception in a polite and friendly manner

–          Answering the telephone promptly and courteously

–          Making appointments using the computerised appointments system

–          Assisting patients to complete new registration forms

–          Assisting with any other administration required

–          Administering the procedure for repeat prescriptions.

The Person will…

–          Have previous experience as a Medical Receptionist in a GP surgery (required)

–          Have experience of using SystmOne (required)

–          Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

–          Have the ability to multi task and work in a fast paced environment

–          Have a keen eye for detail

–          Be able to work to strict deadlines but also have a flexible approach to their work   

–          Be competent in the use of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
