After a period of sustained growth, we have developed a successful and disruptive business and are looking to build out our sales and marketing function to increase our market presence. Reporting into the Head of Marketing, the successful candidate will have a wide range of responsibilities and will play an important role in our future success.
The role will be home based 4 days per week with 1 day in their office in Milton Keynes.
Job Description:
The successful individual will be a key member of the sales and marketing team and will be crucial in helping the business create first class and eye-catching documentation for use throughout the sales process, from initial presentation to proposal and bid writing, from collateral creation to marketing analysis.
Working closely with the Sales and Marketing team the individual will be tasked with pulling together factual information from a variety of sources in the format that is comprehensive and compelling to any audience. A key element of this will be continual market research and competitor analysis to help ensure the business messaging and strategy is relevant and current.
The Bid Writer will also be responsible for creating commercial and technical documentation and collateral to be used within the business and within customer communications.
The Bid Writer will be responsible for the quality of all aspects of any bid submitted by the business, including written documentation and presentations and will be responsible for assembling and co-ordinating all bid stakeholders involved in the process. They will ensure that deadlines are met and that the bid is accurate, of high quality and reflective of the services and abilities of the business and its product and most importantly is compelling to the customer.
The successful individual will be highly motivated, customer focused and an excellent communicator with a proven ability to work well under tight deadlines. They will be highly capable with a keen eye for detail, consistency and accuracy and will play an instrumental role in winning business for the company.
Responsibilities:
* Assembly and co-ordination of bid stakeholder team
* Proof reading and editing all bid contributions to ensure a high quality of all bid submissions
* Ownership of the bid process in its entirety
* Development and streamlining the bid writing process
* Assist in the creation of compelling and eye-catching business documentation to include business cases and commercial and technical documentation
* Create collateral that accurately articulates the business
* Performing continual analysis and reporting on market trends
* Understanding the market and convert knowledge into compelling proposals and marketing and sales collateral
Essential Skills:
* A high attention to detail with excellent editing and proofing ability
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an extensive vocabulary
* Strong ability to communicate complex concepts simply
* Strong ability to present and deliver information for a variety of audiences
