Attendance Officer

St Michael’s Catholic School are now recruiting for an Attendance Officer
You will be working with senior management, middle management, teachers, support staff, parents, pupils and occasionally outside agencies. This role also requires a post holder who has excellent interpersonal skills
and is passionate about developing their abilities through CPD.
Some of your duties will include;
• To promote a positive attendance and punctuality culture
• To follow up data entry to ensure that there are no missing marks on the school electronic registers each day
• To provide first day school – home contact In the event of a pupil absence and log all calls
• To ensure that the signing in and out book is reconciled daily
• To generate and circulate regular, timely and accurate information on the level of attendance at the school
• To ensure that appropriate home school correspondence is conducted in a professional and appropriate manner, including the dispatch of letters in relation to pupil absence

You will need the following;
• Excellent English and Maths skills
• Ability to prioritise their workload to ensure the timely completion of work
• Ability to motivate and enthuse disengaged and / or challenging pupils in the phase you will be working in (Primary/ or Secondary)
• Able to treat sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality and discretion
• Ability to use own initiative and be solution focussed when working with pupils and colleagues
• Be calm, patient and professional when dealing with pupils and colleagues

Salary: Bucks Pay Scale 3 £22,690 to £24,540 FTE
