Apprentice Business Administrator
Stowe, Buckinghamshire
This is an exciting opportunity to start a career in business administration, based at the Stowe Head Office of a successful construction company. You’ll have the chance to gain a wide range of valuable experience working within a reputable business, with this opportunity supporting their HR Team.
The company has a strong culture of promoting from within and this permanent vacancy could lead to a long-term career within HR or within another of their Head Office support departments.
General office administrative duties will include:
Provide administration assistance to the HR team in respect of general HR processes & procedures
Assist with the preparation of Company Induction folders and administration of the Company Induction process
Maintaining and updating information databases
Assist in the creation of key reports and documents
Communicating by email and phone with internal customers, typing letters using standard word processing software
Answering the telephone and directing calls
Document control and data management
Assisting with incoming and outgoing mail
Training Provided
Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship plus Functional Skills and Technical Certificate if appropriate.
This apprenticeship programme is delivered with a blended learning approach and includes a mixture of onsite tutor visits and online tutor led sessions. All delivery is completed in the workplace and you will not need to attend any off-site training.
Future Prospects
This apprenticeship is an excellent first step into a business / office environment within the construction sector. Following completion of the Level 3 there will be the opportunity to further advance a career in HR or the wider Head Office support functions.
Qualifications Required
GCSE Maths and English at grade C (4) or above essential
AS or A Level qualifications preferred
Skills Required
Excellent communication and people skills
Organised
Customer orientated
Computer Literate
Driving licence and own transport essential due to office location
Personal Qualities
Willingness to learn
Polite, calm and approachable personality
Must be a team player

Other Information
Working Week:
37 hours with an hour per day for lunch.
Start and finish times are typically, 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday, 9.00am to 5.00pm (or, by agreement, 8.30am to 4.30pm) on Fridays.
