We have an amazing opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to work with our client based in Milton Keynes.
Main Responsibilities:
Purchase Ledger
Matching purchase invoices with delivery notes.
Posting purchase ledger invoices on computer.
Maintaining customer & supplier invoice records.
Reconciling supplier statements.
Supplier account query resolution.
Supplier payments by BACS & credit transfer.
Monthly supplier review with Logistics & Quality.
Customer Ledger
Providing cover for weekly credit control.
Invoicing customers on a daily basis.
Issuing customer statements on a monthly basis.
General Accounts Functions
Bank statement processing.
Checking customer receipts.
General Admin Functions
Placing purchase orders for consumables and capital items.
Management of all stationery, including ordering from suppliers.
Arranging hotel, travel & flight bookings for the company employees.
Managing conference arrangements.
Updating the company calendar & holiday bookings.
Opening & distributing incoming post.
Carrying out other tasks as required.
What are we looking for?
Smart appearance an advantage; good health essential.
A minimum of 5 GCSEs including English & Mathematics; A levels and / or AAT (or equivalent) qualifications would be an advantage. Support for further training may be available.
Previous experience of working within an accounts department is essential.
Experience working with SAP and Microsoft Office is essential.
Good communication skills, literacy, numeracy, computer literacy, and accuracy.
Attention to detail.
Able to work under own initiative and sometimes under pressure.
Resourceful, determined and tenacious.
Teamplayer.
