Used Vehicle Maintenance Specialist
North Region – From Sheffield/Hull to Inverness (North and Scottish Regions)
Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 + Car + Excellent Benefits Package
Working hours: Monday to Friday 08:45 to 17:00

Summary
Ensure that vehicles are prepared in line with their various sales channels in the shortest amount of time. Work with the whole used truck team including Retail, Trade & Export and administration and be part of the panel where sales channel will be determined such as Tier 1/2/3. Key aspects of the role will be pushing through preparation whilst ensuring standards are met and costs are controlled
Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities
Overall responsibility is to be looking after all aspects of used department stock.
Site Stock check’s – Both Defined & Blind
Debt List unpaid stock – Verify still in SGB possession
Stock Verification – Model, Spec, Mileage, Colour
Chanel selection – Confirmation to National Operations Manager to correct sales channel Trade/Retail
Photos & Video’s – Pre refurbishment and Post refurbishment (Trade & Retail)
Asses & organise refurbishment in line with vehicle standard Tier 1/2/3 and stop any unnecessary spend
Book mechanical inspection & Organise PO & WIP’s
Review any outstanding SI’s & R&M issues
Organise vehicle movements & ensure allocation of site is correct first time reducing unnecessary movements and thus incurring further costs
Ensure stock is displayed correctly and in line with Dealer standards (POS)
Ensure Part Exchanges are in line with original Appraisal
Working closely with the returns engineer checking vehicle reports and inspections and advise accordingly
Handling customer issues / complaints post sale and warranty issues
Working with the NOM & NSM to agree retail prep standards
Quality checking of both internal and external repairers work / paint shop jobs etc
To meet clear deadlines and targets set by NOM
Work with the Used Truck Team assist in progressing sales orders through the workshops
Checking all retail vehicle inspection reports and advising various workshops on what work is / isn’t required
Building strong relationships with both internal & external workshops to guide them in the quality and level of service we require
Ensure a strong customer focus
Flexible approach to working hours with some overnight stays

Candidate Requirements
Clean Driving Licence (C1 preferred)
Knowledge and competent in the use of Outlook, Excel and Word.
HGV Mechanical Qualification / Technical knowledge of Commercial vehicle servicing and repairs
Ability to work as part of a team as well as unsupervised.
Knowledge of Scania Products and Systems.
Ability to work under pressure whilst prioritising your own workload
Good communication skills at all levels. Good organisational skills
Self-motivated and flexible approach to work and working hours.
