The Role
The role of Technical Training and Qualifications Assistant (TT&QA) has recently been created to support continued business growth and forms an important part of the Pension Administration Training Group. This group are responsible for the coordination of the training function, plus the administration and provision of support to individuals taking pensions-related qualifications and their mentors.
The Person
We are looking for individuals with a strong set of GCSE (or equivalent) results as a minimum – written work should be of a high standard and online testing (numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning and checking) is part of our selection process.
We are looking for an individual who has a natural attention to detail as a key responsibility will be to manage the internal My Learning system ensuring that it is kept up-to-date.
The assistant will also need to be a confident and clear communicator as they will be a point of contact for the business on enquiries relating technical qualifications and training and will also be liaising with external bodies.
We are also looking for strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task as the role entails maintaining a calendar of qualification events, deadlines, mock examinations and results dates.
Sound ability with MS Office is also required as the role will entail administration duties for all learning activities including room and resource bookings. Candidates should have experience using Word, Excel and Outlook – plus the ability to pick up new computer systems as there are a number of different systems in use.
Professionalism and enthusiasm are key elements of this role as is the ability to work well within a team situation.
Qualifications and Experience
* As a minimum, GCSE (or equivalent) grade 5 / C or higher in English and Maths although we would prefer to see education continued to a higher level.
* Experience in a training support role is desirable but not essential.
* Familiarity with pension administration is desirable but again, not essential if you have strong academic results and the desire to learn – we will support your study towards a professional pensions qualification.
