SOFTWARE PROJECT MANAGER

Are you tired of commuting? Currently home working and would prefer to continue to do so? This Software Project Manager is a newly created role and offers an exciting challenge for someone who thrives on ensuring software projects run smoothly and on time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The company’s IT Infrastructure is based on Microsoft Technology and ASP.NET MVC4 is the framework used for building scalable web-based applications. The Software Project Manager acts as the conduit between the stakeholders and the software development team for the life cycle of the software project.

The Software Project Manager will be involved in:

Working with the Senior Leadership Team and stakeholders to understand project objectives, time frames, and priorities
Managing all software projects that the software development team are working on from initial design to delivery, testing through to release
REQUIREMENTS

As well as strong project management experience gained in a software development environment, the Software Project Manager needs:

Ideally a recognised project management qualification e.g. Prince2 and in-depth knowledge and experience of project management skills and techniques

Scrum Manager qualification e.g. Certified Scrum Professional ScrumMaster (CSP-SM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) would be desirable
Experience of hosted software development and delivery models
To be organised and methodical; excellent communication skills and empathy to understand the challenges C# Software Developers face are key
Waterfall and agile methodologies would be useful
