About the role:
They are currently seeking a Service Charge Officer to manage the service charge schemes, calculating and preparing annual service charge statements, create/manage reserve funds for blocks, as well as dealing with customer queries.
Your main responsibilities will include:

Managing & maintaining all service charge records levied by the Group, including the relevant lease and initial calculations.

You’ll be responsible for collating information to help prepare the annual service charge statements for Leaseholders, Tenants and Shared Owners.
*
Liaise with development/housing management and maintenance on the setting up of new schemes and service charges.
*
Assist with the annual audit of service charges and resolve any queries for external auditors.
*
Liaise with the Major Works Department on Section 20 and ensure relevant deductions from reserve funds are posted.
*
Review managing agent invoices and carry out appropriate reviews.
What they’re looking for:

You will have a strong understanding of service charge processes, including setting, monitoring and preparing annual service charge statements.
*
Experience of working in a customer facing environment.
*
Understanding of reserve funds and Section 20 process would be advantageous.
*
You’ll be a confident communicator with the ability to communicate and interact with various stakeholders.
*
You’ll have an analytical mind.
*
High levels of attention to detail and the ability to maintain clear and accurate records.
*
Competent IT user with Advanced Excel knowledge.
