As a PMO Manager you'll have a critical role in our team. You'll manage and co-ordinate workstreams within the multi-year Operational Resilience Programme. You'll be involved at all stages of the project lifecycle, ensuring that project goals and benefits are delivered.
As the PMO Manager you will be responsible for leading the Operational Resilience PMO activities. This will include managing the programme plan and tracking the programme budget. You'll also coordinate the programme governance (through appropriate MI & reporting) and make sure that the programme is adequately resourced.
You will be a key player in ensuring that each of the workstream project plans are maintained and followed – and that risks and issues are appropriately captured and proactively managed.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract position.
The difference you'll make.
Establishing and maintaining the overall program plan, including milestone and dependency management
Establishing and overseeing governance and reporting requirements
Driving and supporting the effective delivery of each of the Operational Resilience workstreams to deliver on time, on budget, on benefit and on scope
Managing programme risks and issues – assessing and minimising risks, as well as contributing to the identification of risks and issues
Managing the programme budget – agreeing budgets for workstreams and controlling forecast and actual cost against them
Securing resources needed deliver the project successfully, taking into account availability and scheduling
What you'll bring.
Ability to develop strategies, project plans and methodologies that involve agreeing customer objectives and assigning resources
Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships/relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to enhance 2-way communication
It would also be nice for you to have.
Previous experience in a Programme Management Office role within a Financial Services environment
PRINCE 2 practitioner or external PMO certification
Proven ability to manage and coordinate a diverse range of projects, for various business areas
Demonstrable experience of developing solutions to complex operational and processing problems

Given the recent impact of the Coronavirus outbreak we will be conducting all interviews via telephone or video-conference where possible.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract position, a hybrid position with office at Milton Keynes.
