Inteirm Senior Management Accountant required to lead team and play key role in finance team, for minimum 6 months, based South Bucks.

Our client, based in South Bucks, require an interim Senior Management Accountant, for a minimum period of 6 months, to play a lead role within the finance team, supporting the Finance Function in all aspects of management accounting for this growing multi company, and multi-site organisation. The role will also involve the provision of strategic, analytical and wider support to the Head of Accounting. Key to the role will also be supporting the teams with financial and commercial information and decisions making, as well as meeting the strict reporting deadlines for 3rd party stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

To act as line manager for members of the management accounting team
Coach, develop and mentor direct reports
Prepare month end management accounts for operational sites and related non-trading entities including journal posting, month end reconciliations, payroll schedules and ledger maintenance
Analyse and interpret monthly financial results
Prepare Monthly & Quarterly reports including KPI's
Play a lead role in identifying and implementing process improvements and increasing efficiencies
Pro-actively reviewing financial calendar and planning for allocated entities in conjunction with the Group Finance Manager
Main contact point for key stakeholders within the business, Supporting the management accounting team & Finance Business Partner with information requests
Work with key senior stakeholders in the business to provide financial and commercial support
Prepare annual budgets and monitor performance versus budget
VAT Return preparation and submission
Preparation of audit & tax files including statutory returns e.g. VAT
Ad hoc administrative duties

Skills & experience required

Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Strong Management Accounts background and experience (4-5 years)
Previous line management experience.
Advanced Excel skills
Analytical experience, with commercial awareness
Stakeholder management
