Purchase Ledger Clerk
We are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk on behalf of an excellent company based near Stowe Their trajectory since inception has been very strong with sustained organic growth throughout. Currently sitting at a turnover in excess of £650m. They are a Tier 1 Construction Contractor who undertake some of the most prestigious projects in the UK infrastructure and built environment sectors. Despite their scale and scope they have an independent and family orientated culture. They have the reach of a Plc, the agility and sagacity of an SME, healthy margins, cashflow and repeat business with a personable approach.
Responsibilities:
Process for payment purchase ledger invoices and credit notes efficiently onto account software
Process staff expenses in line with policy
Maintaining strong relationships with buying team, site personnel and suppliers
Set up new suppliers, check insurance, and labour agency compliance
Understand how CIS works and which VAT codes to use
Use accounting and relevant software to complete duties
Prioritise work load to meet deadlines and assist others in the team
Requirements
2 years experience in Accounts Payable role
Experience inputting, matching and coding high volumes of invoices
Confidence communicating with suppliers when writing for credits
Attention to details an accuracy on data entry
Experienced in Microsoft packages and accounting software
Will also consider a finance gradate with 6 months experience
Construction industry knowledge would be advantageous
