Our client, is a public distance Learning & Research University and one of the biggest universities in the UK for undergraduate education.
They are looking to recruit an experienced Portfolio Analyst within the strategy team. This role is to start asap for three months. This role is currently working from home and equipment will be supplied.
This role is paying between £17.83 – £18.36ph dependent on experience, working a 37hr week.
This role offers an opportunity to support the OU's approach to approving prioritising and assuring major change initiatives by leading on the development and maintenance of visually compelling and accurate reporting which support frameworks to aid decision making and assurance activities.
The post holder will collaborate extensively with other areas of the university to improve the way our projects and change activities are managed, documented and understood. The role requires a good level of project knowledge and analytical capability. Maintaining established tools techniques to support benefit tracking, dependency management and impact ; using project data to provide monthly reporting to Strategic Portfolio governance is an important part of the role.
Skills and experience
Advanced proficiency in using Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint, SharePoint are essential. It is also desirable that the postholder is familiar with the use of MS Project/Project online.
Experience of data manipulation using analytical tools to prepare and analyse datasets.
Experience of translating complex business requirements into effective solutions.
Familiarity with the principles of Project and Change Management and their associated roles and responsibilities.
Experience of communicating technical concepts clearly to a non-technical audience.
