I am supporting an Accountancy firm with their search for a Payroll & Tax Assistant to join their team in Milton Keynes.
This role will be working alongside a Payroll administrator, assisting the running of a payroll portfolio for around 200 clients. Reporting to the Tax & Payroll manager, you will be assisting in the preparation of tax computations & compliance returns for a variety of clients. Tasks will cover both personal & corporate taxes.
Day-to-day tasks:
– Assisting with payroll tasks
– Support all payroll duties & calculations on all statutory payments
– Dealing with pension, including auto enrolments, payments & setting up new schemes
– Resolving queries & enquiries via email, phone & post
– Payroll reconciliations
– Processing corporate & personal tax returns, VAT returns & CIS returns
– Bookkeeping
About you:
– Payroll experience/knowledge of the payroll process is essential for this role
– Bookkeeping experience
– Good knowledge of Word & Excel
– Strong communication skills, both verbal & written
– Able to prioritise workload & work well within a team
