Management Accountant required to join a leading engineering company based in central Milton Keynes. This is a full time, permanent position for an experienced Accountant to help spot opportunities for growth and development, whilst reporting directly into and working closely with the Managing Director/ Finance Controller. This opportunity is suitable for a company/management Accountant, Financial Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant looking for the next step on the accounts career ladder.

Management Accountant Position Overview

Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, balance sheet, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
Produce month end and year end journals (inc. accruals/prepayments/deferred income/depreciation/wages/Intercompany transactions)
Prepare monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet items
Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts
Produce statutory annual accounts
Review and assess monthly expenditure, assets and liabilities
Prepare and process VAT returns
Tax compliance issues
Credit control including sales and purchase ledger
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations
Contribute to the production of annual budgets
Produce cash flow forecasts
Liaise with the external chartered Accountant

Management Accountant Position Requirements

Highly competent Management Accountant, or Assistant Management Accountant, with solid commercial awareness ideally within the engineering or construction industry.
Strong sage, google docs and excel skills are essential
Extremely motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment
Qualified ACA, CIMA, ACA or QBE will be considered
Thorough understanding of management information systems
Be able to use your own initiative and be an "outside the box" thinker
Exceptional interpersonal skills and able to successfully communicate with people at all levels, both financial and non-financial
Committed and experiencedManagement Accountant Position Remuneration

Full time, permanent role Monday – Friday
09.00 – 17.00 or 08.30 – 16.30
28 days holiday, rising after 2 years' service
£35,000 – £50,000 per annum dependant on skills and experience
