Company Auditor – Up to £65,000, company car, fuel card and excellent benefits – Milton Keynes
We're looking for an ACA/ACCA qualified Company Auditor to join a leading automotive business based in Milton Keynes.
This is a standalone role, reporting to the Director of Finance and Corporate Operations. You will be responsible for maintaining a robust system of internal control within the business and external stakeholders.
As Company Auditor your duties will include:
Develop and deliver a risk-based annual audit plan and supporting audit processes
Present audit reports and periodic audit update to the Board
Perform internal audits designed to:
Evaluate risk and test internal controls
Identify opportunities for best practices and more efficient operational processes
Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
Detection and reporting of fraudulent activities
Track and report completion of audit actions
Perform on-site dealer audit reviews in UK & Ireland for as determined by business risk
Monitor developments and complete assurance work to ensure compliance with HMRC Senior Accounting officer (SAO) and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Regulation
Regularly engage with key stakeholders, including Financial Services division, attend key meetings and review and industry data to assess business performance and emerging risks
Ad hoc reviews and investigations as requested by the Board
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
ACA or ACCA qualified
Big 4 audit experience
Internal audit experience in large blue chip/corporate business
Knowledge, understanding or exposure to core principles of Accounting, audit and risk management
Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages, notably ExcelDesirable:
Experience with using SAP and other finance systems
Automotive industry experience
Experience presenting to senior management professionals
Experience of FCA Regulated Businesses/ ComplianceIdeally you will have the following personal attributes:

Ability to represent the company professionally at external stakeholders
Flexible in approach, with the ability to reprioritise and effectively meet strict deadlines

Demonstrates a can-do attitude with the initiative, drive and resilience to see tasks through to completion
Must have the integrity to respect confidential information
