This Head of Collections role is for a rapidly growing broker/lender within the asset finance sector. The ideal individual will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Collections Team, including end of term and have experience in managing a litigation process, providing recommendations for litigation, action reviews and legal cost reviews.

The company offer a vast range of asset finance products that are suitable for both hard & soft assets and are launching a business loans product via their own-book lending. Lending via their own book and via their extensive panel of lenders, they are highly competitive and able to rapidly approve simple and complex funding requirements.

As Head of Collections, you will proactively monitor defaults and resolve outstanding balances due, whilst effectively managing caseloads and end of term workloads to ensure an even distribution of work throughout the Collections team.  

Reporting to the Strategy and Operations Director, key responsibilities will be:

Effectively monitor staff performance to ensure consistent approach and efficiency in maximizing returns from the Collection team.
Ensure the collections team maintains high standards in accordance with NACFB rules and FCA rules/regulations, including treating customers fairly and assist in the identification and fair treatment of vulnerable customers.
To provide a culture of innovation, dynamism and development within the collections team, from ideas to inception and roll-out. The Collections team can add a valuable income stream for the business, especially through effective management of end of term performance.
Responsible for managing the collection of any assets and their disposal.
Review unpaid direct debit reports daily and informing the accounts and underwriting team of any early concerns. Identify any patterns re defaults/arrears such as customer sector, type, size etc.
As Head of Collections, you will be rewarded with a fantastic base salary of £40k-£50k dependent on experience and as the company is continuously growing, there will be opportunities for progression in the future.
