Group Treasurer – International Restaurant Group – Milton Keynes – Circa £70k-£80k plus 25% bonus
Robert Walters are hiring for a Group Treasurer for a leading international restaurant chain with an office in Milton Keynes.
This is a permanent role, managing a team of 2 and reporting into the Group Financial Controller.
The Group Treasurer is responsible for safeguarding all aspects of financial risk management and financial health of the business, and is crucial to the maintenance of financial control. The role encompasses aspects of daily and short term cash management, process improvement, longer term financial modelling and forecasting as well as managing our banking facilities, together with developing and managing our relationships with banking partners.
Responsibilities include:
Cash and liquidity management
Forecasting cashflow positions taking into account borrowing needs and investment requirements
Develop and maintaining short term (weekly thru 13-week) and longer term cash flow models for the Group
Working across the finance function to develop and maintain effective oversight on cash requirements and working capital movements
Ensuring appropriate cash levels are maintained across all bank accounts
Managing foreign exchange currency flows and determining optimum funding strategies
Support the CFO and Group Financial Controller through relationships with our facility lenders, including any potential refinancing projects
Risk management
Ensuring that key financial risks are addressed relating to interest, foreign exchange and liquidity
Manage intercompany financing and ensure that balances are effectively structured and unwound when appropriate
Be alert to fraud attempts and lead communication of anti fraud policies across the departments
Lead reporting on Treasury matters to the Audit Committee and Board
Foreign exchange and hedging
Manage, assess and administer the Group's foreign exchange exposure
Work with the business to understand potential strategies and methods for effective foreign exchange risk management
Work together with the business in implementation of hedge accounting practices
Treasury operations
Manage operational requirements and management information requirements for our key facilities
Prepare accurate covenant compliance statements on a timely basis
Manage various process improvement projects, including tendering of new suppliers
Maintain an efficient bank account structure
Maintain relationships with key account contacts at our banks and lenders
Team management
Management and supervision of Group Treasury Manager and Treasury and Cash Analyst
Maintain good relationships across the finance team around treasury related areas of process improvement, information requirements for cash flow forecasting
Maintain wider relationships across the business for new business propositions and funding requirements, including assessment of funding options for capital expenditure
Overall responsibility for the Treasury Function, accountable to the Group Financial Controller and Group Chief Financial Officer
The role comes with a salary of circa £70,000 to £80,000 plus 25% bonus, share options and a great benefits package.
The role will be based in their Milton Keynes head office but there will be the ability to do some working from home.
