Group Tax Accountant
Based: Hybrid working with head office based in High Wycombe
Term: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Negotiable plus excellent benefits
We're looking for a Group Tax Accountant to join the team on a permanent basis in this newly created role. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience of compliance and transfer pricing, having worked for a multi national business.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Compliance:
* Review and reconcile corporation tax computations for Group subsideries in the UK and submits company tax fillings in conjunction with external tax advisors
* Monitoring the tax compliance and maintain tax profile for the Group companies, include direct and indirect tax
* Identify qualifying R&D for tax credit claim under RDEC, build relevant costs and activities and submit claim through Corporation computation
* Support Financial accounting requirements for tax accounting, including disclosure notes
* Design and implement processes to support compliance with UK SAO obligation
* Manage projects to support ongoing digital requirements for tax submission
* Provide tax support for strategic projects as needed, including management of third party advisers
* Support M&A project and post-acquisition tax compliance, process improvement and controls
Transfer pricing:
* Ensure Group Master and local tax files are kept up to date
* Provide ongoing review of transfer pricing policies to ensure compliance, with clear and effective processes to support business decision making
* Have worked in a multinational business with experience of transfer pricing issues.
* A self-starter who is constantly looking to improvement
* Strong communicator with good stakeholder management skills
* Advanced Excel skill, with excellent attention to detail
* Would consider full or part time applicants and anticipate a requirement of one day a week in the High Wycombe offices
Tax planning:
* Provide tax support for strategic projects as needed, including management of third party advisers
* Support M&A project and post-acquisition tax compliance, process improvement and controls
Experience and Skills Required
* Professionally qualified in tax or accountancy e.g. CTA
* Have worked in a multinational business with experience of transfer pricing issues.
* A self-starter who is constantly looking to improvement
* Strong communicator with good stakeholder management skills
* Advanced Excel skill, with excellent attention to detail
* Would consider full or part time applicants and anticipate a requirement of one day a week in the High Wycombe offices
