Group Finance Manager (12 month fixed term contract)
Based: Hybrid with offices based in High Wycombe
Term: Fixed term Maternity cover
Salary: Negotiable
The Role
Focusrite plc is an award-winning audio technology company encompassing eight established brands, and developing products for both professional and home recording studios. We're looking for a qualified Accountant to join the team for this Group Finance Manager maternity cover position.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Take responsibility over the Group's annual and half year reports processes and lead the projects, including:
Preparing IFRS statutory accounts and disclosures
Ensure that the Group's financial statements and annual report is delivered to a high standard with relevant disclosures in a timely manner
Act as a key contact for external auditors and assist in the co-ordination of the annual and interim audit and ensuring that all auditor queries are satisfactorily addressed
Preparing technical accounting memos for AC in line with IFRS
* Prepare the monthly consolidated accounts for the Group under IFRS
* Maintain the Group's consolidation ledgers and prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for that ledger
* Be responsible for the preparation of UK based entity's financial statements and to ensure that these are filed in advance of the deadline
* Preparation of corporation tax computations for all Group companies and calculate QIP
* Coordination of tax strategy groupwide, including transfer pricing and management of tax risks
* Improving controls over financial data, to include reconciliation activities and development of interim solutions
* Production of Group wide accounting policies to internal timeline
* Assist in Group budget and quarterly forecast process
* Act as the Group's technical accounting expert and assist the Management Accounting team in operating entities with any queries on accounting treatment in line with IFRS
* Liaise with external firm to perform internal audit
* Share option return
* Assist ad hoc projects as necessary, include assist opcos reporting
* Supervising and provide guidance to the Group Accountant
Experience and Skills Required
* Qualified ACA, ACCA or equivalent with audit background and strong technical accounting skils
* IFRS experience
* Group consolidation in multi-currencies experience
* Strong analytical and IT skills particularly in excel
* Experience of NetSuite and NSPB will be advantage
* Be a strong, effective communicator, with a proven ability to build relationships
* Ability to communicate with the Board and non-financial individuals alike
* Have a high level of personal motivation and initiative with the ability to work to tight deadlines in a flexible and evolving work environment
* Actively seeks to improve processes making them more effective and efficient
* A high level of attention to detail
