Robert Walters are delighted to be working with a client based in High Wycombe looking for a Group Assistant Accountant to join their friendly but busy team. The newly created role has opened up due to an increase in workloads within the current team following continued growth. This is a permanent role and will be reporting directly into the Financial Controller.

You will be expected to assist the rest of the team with Invoicing, Reconciliations, Intercompany-Work, and Reporting.

Duties for the Group Assistant Accountant:

Raise invoices from completion statements and post appropriately.
Raise intercompany invoices as required.
Reviewing accuracy of subcontractor valuations and invoices, matching of orders and delivery notes, review approvals and process onto the system.
Preparing bi-weekly payment runs.
Chasing of overdue invoices via email and telephone
Complete supplier statement, sales ledger, credit card, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare rental and insurance invoices for tenants.
Annual tenant service charge reconciliations and budget preparation.
Prepare rent transfer schedule and set up transfers in the bank.
Month end reporting and presenting documents to support the finance team and other internal stakeholders.
Processing expenses accurately.

To be considered successful, the ideal candidate must:

Have a proven background within a similar role and understand basic accounting principles.
Have excellent communication skills.
Have strong interpersonal skills.
Be able to work in a team.
Strong Excel skills desirable.
Have studied to some degree of AAT.

This Group Assistant Accountant role is based in High Wycombe and the salary is £25,000 – £30,000 plus company specific benefits
