About the role
This is a new vacancy arising from an internal promotion.
Reporting into the Corporate Finance Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the team to update the Company’s 30 year’ business plan. Our team are responsible for preparing the long-term plan, from data collection and plan preparation to presenting the plan outputs.
You will also be responsible for assisting the Development team, to review new business opportunities. You will ensure that all the inputs have been entered correctly, which means that the financial results of new opportunities are accurately presented.
The successful candidate will have
An ambition to be a CCAB qualified accountant.
Knowledge or experience on preparing a budget, with an idea on what internal and external factors could affect the budget.
Attention to detail to ensure that any new opportunities are appraised correctly.
Experience to translate complex data from multiple sources into a consolidated and understandable output.
Good IT knowledge of MS Excel and be willing to learn new systems
About you
We are looking for someone who can accurately manage various sources of data input, then consolidate this to prepare a business plan. You must be comfortable with presenting financial data and explaining outputs to non-finance colleagues.
Our ideal candidate has experience (or can demonstrate) the ability to challenge colleagues where required, to ensure that inputs are correct and reflect the actual business positions.
You will have a can-do attitude and will be keen to learn about the social housing sector, including the terminology and systems used. Whilst an ideal candidate has experience within the social housing sector, we do have a comprehensive training package to provide the correct candidate with industry knowledge.
