StaffCo Professional are currently recruiting for a Group Financial Controller on behalf of their client . This is an influential role, which reports directly into the Managing Director.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting to the business and wider Group ensuring that the appropriate financial controls are in place.
• Providing detailed commentary on variances at profit centre and including GAP analysis and action plans to improve performance.
• Preparing monthly Board presentation for Board explaining group’s month and YTD performance.
• Managing Balance Sheet and Cash Flow annual budgeting and forecasting for the group in partnership with accounting team.
• Maintain high-level communication with group accounting team to ensure accuracy of financial records, compliance with group guidelines and understanding of individual accounting entries.
• Work closely with senior management team and central support units to ensure compliance with budget and all deviations justified, supported with a business case and approved by Board in advance.
• Review all group standard management reporting to ensure that all figures are consistent and accurate between various reports and processes improved to achieve most accurate reporting process.
• Monitor risks and opportunities on a regular basis and report to UK and Board.
• The post holder will be working in a fast changing environment and they will therefore be expected to undertake other appropriate duties as required for the effective operation of the profit and cost centres
You will need:
• Proven experience in a Group Financial Reporting / Financial Controller or similar role
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Ability to work under pressure on very tight deadlines and deliver accurate results.
• Able to build effective relationships with Board level colleagues and key stakeholders in the UK and abroad
• Comfortable presenting results both in person and through formal presentations
• Highly organised and able to effectively prioritise workload
• Excellent Excel skills, able to manipulate mass data and produce meaningful insights
• Experience of managing and mentoring a team (5 direct reports)
Salary paying up to £85,000
