This market leading telecoms company is looking to recruit a Finance Projects Manager; – a qualified Accountant to take responsibility for Finance Projects after a period of significant growth.
Reporting to the Finance Manager and the CFO, this is a full-time permanent position based in the Milton Keynes office, covering all aspects of Finance and supporting the business as they continue their expansion into new countries.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for Manufacturing, Fixed Assets, Inventory and Commitment reporting.
* Responsible for Detailed Group FAR by Country.
* Ensure consistency of accounting treatment for assets and accounting policies across the Group.
* Designing and implementing systems for Manufacturing Accounting.
* Designing and implementing process to track UK Inventory controls and movements postings for Prepayments, UK Warehouse, GIT, Customs & Duty accounting and inventory held in Subsidiaries abroad.
* Designing and implementing process for coordination of subsidiaries for consistent FAR/inventory reporting according to strict monthly deadlines back to Head Office.
* Coordination of Periodic Stocktakes across Group.
* Commitment reporting for all outstanding Group issued & authorised PO’s not yet paid/delivered.
* Responsibility for postings to X-ledger business system and Reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts for Fixed Assets, Inventory, WIP, GIT, Maintenance Support & any other Projects.
* Responsibility for postings to X-ledger business system for Depreciation and other necessary P&L related adjustments originating from FAR adjustments.
* Project Accounting ensuring costs are booked to P&L in X-ledger business system in line with associated revenue recognition.
* Seeking continuous improvement and enhancements of current project controls and methodologies.
* Assisting in preparation of parent company and consolidated accounts at a month-end and year-end for both internal reporting and external audit purposes.
* Liaising and coordinating with local subsidiary accounting teams and external advisors (accountants & auditors) in various African countries.
This role would be ideally suited to fully Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent with a previous experience of Project accounting or Job costing and good understanding of Manufacturing, Fixed Assets and Inventory accounting and control.
The postholder will require excellent numeracy, literacy, communication and organisational skills and you must have advanced Excel skills and be comfortable working with v look ups and pivot tables.
Experience of using a variety of financial systems in a multi-entity (consolidation), multi-currency environment is desirable. Experience of X-Ledger an advantage.
A working knowledge of the French language would be helpful although not essential.

This is a permanent role paying £40,0000 – £45,000 + bonus + benefits and share options
