You will be someone who has had experience of ensuring financial control (Process, People, System) within a small to medium size business. With a strong focus on ensuring the company meets its financial performance targets
As Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include overseeing end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, looking to make improvements to procedures and controls, as well as ad-hoc projects.
Some of your Role & Responsibilities will include:
* Leading /overseeing the Finance Team and developing the finance function (People, Process & Systems)
* Preparation of monthly internal Management Accounts and Statutory annual accounts
* Preparation and monitoring of internal costings, embedding cost controls
* Preparing, managing and delivering budgets and forecasts
* Overseeing payroll function, including processing of monthly salaries
* Oversee regulatory submissions PAYE-RTI, Pensions, VAT returns are accurate and on time.
* Providing financial analysis, capital investments, pricing decisions and contract negotiations
* Measure KPIs and demonstrate business performance
* Providing commercial reporting and analysis to aid strategic growth plans
* Main point of contact with Accountants, Company bankers and other lenders
* Oversee management of bank accounts including receipts, payments and reconciliations
* Completion of other statutory financial returns including Office for National Statistics
* Working with all managers, business partnering and providing analysis to support business decisions
* Implementing and driving financial process and system improvements, ensuring the Company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth plans
Experience and qualification:
* Qualified Accountant with at least 5-6 years experience.
* Experience of performance managing and developing junior staff
* Accounting Systems – QuickBooks, Sage, Payroll
* HMRC Submissions
* Demonstrable evidence of success in reviewing and introducing new processes and systems
* Previous experience of working in a similar role
* Experience in a multi-site environment would be an advantage
