Info about what the Finance Manager role entails

The Finance Manager will provide financial planning, analysis and guidance to the senior leadership team. Partnering with Engineering and Product management this role focusses on and enables the business to effectively quote and win new innovative business, launch new products to grow orders, revenue and maximise cash flow. Reporting R&D project profitability and work closely with Engineering managers to forecast and report project performance. This position is key in month and year-end reporting / forecasting processes, responsible for the management of R&D accounting processes and the provision of accurate information for financial reporting. The continuous improvement of reporting processes and systems is a key enabler of this role.

Essential Requirements of the Finance Manager

* Fully qualified accountant with a recognised accountancy qualification, ideally CIMA

* At least 3 years post-qualifying experience

* Relevant experience gained in and engineering R&D and manufacturing environment

* Knowledge and understanding of ERP based systems

* Strong cost systems background

* Sound understanding of accounting principles

Nice to Have Requirements of the Finance Manager

* Knowledge of SQL
