Our client, a leading employer of choice with a reputation for providing unrivalled progression and reward, is looking to source a bright and enthusiastic Finance Analyst to join its talented team. The role would be ideal for a newly qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA individual looking to kick start the next phase of their career.

Main duties include:
* Executing period end deliverables associated with all areas of margin adjustments
* Calculating stock provisions and provide valuable insight to understand risks
* Accounting for all margin adjustments including sales, cash discounts and supplier funding, pricing variances and FX impacts
* Preparing periodic balance sheet reconciliations and commentary, ensuring all variances are investigated and explained
* Consistently reviewing and improving controls
* Partnering with Trading Finance team to ensure a shared understanding of the margin position
* Working with Operations on improving processes
* Leading and mentoring one direct report

Key skills & experience required:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA finalist or recently qualified
* Trained in practice or in a similar fast-paced industry environment
* Effective communicator with stakeholders, ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders & build trusted relationships
* Experience in driving process simplification and improvements and a desire for continuous improvement to be best in class
* Strong planning and prioritisation skills
* Strong presentation and communication skills (both verbal & written)
* Resilience (flexible and able to cope with time pressure, risk & ambiguity)
* Proactive and positive approach to problem solving
* Analytical and inquisitive mind set
