A market leading and world-renowned business based in Milton Keynes is recruiting a Commercial Finance Manager.

As the Commercial FM, you will report directly into the Finance Director, who has some exciting value add projects for you to get stuck into. Your responsibilities will include:

Proactively working with the Managing Director and senior management team to manage the P&L to agreed budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources, robust cost control and analysis.

Leading on business partnering activity where relevant including provision of analysis for use in client proposals and costing decisions; building and managing relationships with stakeholders.

Providing support for departmental leads in the production of challenging but realistic revenue forecasts and pro-actively highlight early warnings to potential variances in target margins to stakeholders as well as the senior finance team.

Understanding and managing relevant accounting and Group policies (particularly with regard to WIP and revenue recognition) and overseeing the management of WIP & billing for the company, ensuring recovery of committed costs.

Supporting the development of commercial acumen throughout the business to ensure the achievement of group financial targets.

In conjunction with the senior finance management team, define management reporting content, and continuously review to ensure it reflects the business structure and business needs.

Line management responsibility for 2 direct reports based in the Milton Keynes office.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified chartered accountant who knows what best practice looks like. You will be strong with excel and have demonstrable experience in adding value to forecasting and budgeting. You are going to partnering with senior manager across the business, including Sales, Marketing and Operations Directors, so you must be confident in presenting and challenging on the numbers. You will have the ability to analyse and present on complex matters
