A newly created senior leadership position has arisen for a Chief Financial Officer to join the team of a well-established SAAS company. This role offers excellent progression opportunities to CEO level and learning from other same level team members around the world.
Work with the CEO to accelerate M&A activity, through the discovery of target acquisitions, carrying out due diligence, building financial models and working with the Group M&A team and advisors throughout the acquisition process.
As a Chief Financial Officer, you will:
* Manage the head of finance who has 2 reports – accountant and finance assistant.
* Innovate the businesses departments – interrogating challenges and processes looking into what’s worked and what hasn’t.
* Provide strategic advice into wider business plans and ideas, to promote improved financial awareness and accountability across the whole business.
* Develop clear, concise and insightful financial and commercial reporting to the leadership team to drive performance and aid decision making.
* Work with the sales and operations teams to identify scope for product diversification, new markets and other expansion opportunities and to build the business cases to identify which avenues to prioritise.
* Be responsible for ad hoc projects to investigate and improve specific areas of company performance (profitability and cash flow).
The successful Chief Financial Officer will have the following skills and experience:
* Fully qualified accountant CA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
* Previous commercial experience ideally from within a SAAS company.
* Commercially astute and forward-thinking with experience of working in a high growth, entrepreneurial business.
* Energy and drive, with previous experience in shaping strategic growth plans.
* Be a values led, hands-on proactive leader with a track record of leading profitable growth which is aligned to a culture of putting people first, collaboration, quality, driving innovation and sustainable growth.
* Financial modelling and presentation of M&A opportunities.
This role will suit someone already working in a Chief Financial Officer role (reporting to a Group CFO currently) looking for more autonomy or an FD, Head of Finance looking for the next step. You could be a commercial director right now that started your career as an accountant.
You must be able to commute to Milton Keynes approx. twice a week.
In return, you will receive a negotiable salary of £80,000 – £90,000 pa plus bonus with an OTE of up to £140,000. The company also offers a contributory pension, private healthcare, benefits portal and an electric car salary sacrifice scheme.
