Our client, a global motor business is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Business Development Manager to develop, nurture and secure new brokers and introducers to their finance and insurance business. The role requires an understanding of insurance brokerage and ideally experience in the motor industry.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Overall responsibility for bringing new broker and introducer relationships into the business.
* Developing relationships with key decision makers in potential partners.
* Meeting with clients to discuss the opportunity to join the dealer network.
* Negotiating terms including internal liaison as required.
* Ultimately responsible for agreeing all terms and signing contracts with new partners.
* Ensuring all contract paperwork is correctly raised and signed.
* Management of one member of the team.
* Keep up to date with insurance compliance and legal matters.
* Reporting on sales targets and sales pipeline.
* Developing the UK proposition for the broker network.
* Working with existing introducers to increase the volume of introductions made to the business.
* Reviewing quality and service at all time to make improvements.
Experience required:
* A proven sales background.
* A pro-active approach to sales.
* An understanding of motor finance and insurance.
* An understanding of insurance brokers and introducers.
* Asset finance and insurance would be an advantage.
This role will be a mix of office and home-based with regular travel to existing and potential new brokers and introducers around the UK. This position requires someone with real enthusiasm, energy and drive to win new business.
Salary/Benefits:
* £35K-£45K basic salary (depending on experience)
* £20K OTE (with the opportunity to over-achieve)
