Active Electronics Plc is looking for an assistant to our Financial Controller. The role will entail assisting in all aspects of the business’s accountancy functions.

We are looking for an energetic individual who will add real value to our business. The role will touch on all accounting functions required by the business and as such provides a good opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience.

Tasks include, but will not be limited to assisting with: preparation of monthly accounts, preparation of financial schedules, control of cash and bank accounts, monthly closing of ledgers, control of overhead expenditure. This is a role that will be varied and fulfilling. The successful candidate has scope to develop their career as the business is in an expansion phase.

Experience working in an accounts function is essential with a good knowledge of MS Excel and an integrated accounting system. An AAT or other accounting qualification preferred, but not essential.

Active Electronics Plc was established in 1974 and is a distributor of electronic, electro-mechanical and associated products for customers requiring high reliability. Customers include blue chip names, such as BAE Systems, Thales, Rolls Royce, Lockheed, etc….. Active have a number of prestigious qualification, which include: AS9100, AS9120 and SC21 silver award.

The business was acquired in June 2018 and since then has undergone a sustainable continual improvement programme which is now showing real benefits to the business.
