Our renowned client is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Finance Business Partner on an initial 1 year contract, working from home.
The successful candidate will have previous experience as an Assistant Finance Business Partner role or similar and ideally hold one of the following qualifications – CCAB/CIMA/ACCA/CIPFA. The focus of this role is to support the Senior Finance Business Partner and Finance BP in the financial management and budget planning of the departments; acting as the first point of contact on finance and budget matters and providing advice, guidance and direction to management and budget holders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and lead relationships with budget holders and stakeholders
* Develop and maintain relevant and appropriate financial management information on both a regular and ad-hoc basis
* Co-ordinate the budget-setting and forecasting processes for non-staff budgets and assist with staff budgets
* Regularly review, update, communicate and disseminate appropriate financial timetables, procedures and administer any required training on financial system
* Monitor the usage of unit budgets throughout the year and take action as necessary to ensure appropriate levels of expenditure. Assist with finding solutions where additional expenditure is required above the budget allocated.
* Interpretation and analysis of data to inform income projections, financial budgets, forecasting and reporting
* Consolidation of various sources of financial information and provision of draft commentary
* Support tactical projects and proposals as appropriate
* Allocate and supervise finance work as required within the Business Partnering Team.
* Assist with the support for unit/ staff regarding training requests, expense claims, merit awards, overtime, non-staff costs and other admin tasks as appropriate for the grade and experience.
* Invoice and income monitoring
The Successful Finance Business Partner should have the following Skills and experience
* Excellent stakeholder management skills
* Extensive accounting experience and ideally qualified CCAB/CIMA accountant, or must be actively studying towards one of these qualifications
* Track record of financial administration and experience of a similar role in a complex organisation.
* Relevant financial and planning experience at an equivalent level
* Excellent understanding of accounting IT packages and systems.
* Intermediate to advanced level Excel experience.
* Excellent communication and analytical skills.
