We're seeking an Assistant Accountant for our client, one of the country's leading, and fastest-growing, healthcare recruitment companies based in Milton Keynes. The salary for this position is up to £26,000.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation supplying locum doctors and nurses to NHS and independent hospitals throughout the UK.
 
Responsibilities 

As Assistant Accountant you'll support the Management Accountant and assist in the production of the management accounts and duties include:

Purchase ledger, including processing and payment of invoices
Multiple Bank Reconciliations
Fixed asset register and depreciation
Assisting with month-end reporting
Sales Reconciliation
Balance sheet reconciliations
VAT Returns
Credit Cards/Expenses
Intercompany recharges
Other Ad-hoc duties Skills and Experience

Energy and commitment, above all. Experience of working within an accounts department is desirable.

Minimum 2-3 years previous experience in a similar role
Sage 50 Accounts desirable
Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy crucial
The ability to work effectively within a team and independently
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages particularly Excel Benefits
