Accomplish Today are currently looking for an Assistant Accountant with experience of providing exceptional customer service within an accountant practice in Buckinghamshire. Our client is an award-winning provider of accountancy, tax and business planning advice to contractors and small businesses within the UK.

Job Role:

You will work in a team with a Client Accountant and Senior Accountant, supporting them with the delivery of high-quality services to a portfolio of clients. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

* Maintain accurate client records within our systems

* Client bookkeeping via FreeAgent or Xero

* Completion of annual Confirmation Statements for all clients ahead of Statutory Deadline

* Completion of year-end accounts, CT600 and Corporation Tax ahead of Statutory Deadline

* Managing and running monthly payrolls for your clients, ensuring all RTI requirements are met

* Year end payroll procedures including P60’s and P11d’s

* Undertake simple administrative closures for non-trading companies

* Provide support to accountants in the form of reconciliation work and HMRC calls

What we are looking for:

* Demonstrable experience in an accountancy practice

* An ability to prepare year end accounts and CT600

* A knowledge of FreeAgent and/or Xero is highly desirable

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Accuracy and attention to detail with good time management and organisational skills

* Formal AAT or ACCA qualification either currently studying or completed would be highly desirable
