Assistant Accountant
An exciting position has become available for a full-time Assistant Accountant working at a semi-senior accountant level based in Wingrave.
The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours a week and will earn £28,000 – £32,000 depending on experience. The role offers a structured reward scheme with the potential to earn an annual bonus and yearly pay increases.
It is essential for the successful candidate to have at least 2 years’ experience working within an Accountancy Practice. The ideal candidate will also need to have previous experience in completing year end accounts and tax returns.
With multiple offices covering Herts, Beds, Bucks, Hants and beyond, this role is best suited to someone who is prepared to learn new skills, embrace personal development, and is willing to take on new challenges whilst supporting team members and considering business needs.
Role Requirements
Previous experience in a similar role.
Previous experience working within an Accountancy Practice.
Previous experience in completing year end accounts and tax returns.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle multiple demands, to be self-managing.
Good computer literacy, great attention to detail and well organised.
Advanced level of literacy and numerical competency required.
Ability to multi-task, good time management and work well under pressure.
Role Responsibilities
Accounts and Tax Return preparation.
VAT Returns and Payroll.
Ensuring clients’ needs are consistently met with queries effectively resolved, jobs completed on-time and to the expected standards.
Desirable Experience (not essential)
Limited Company Accounts preparation.
Corporation Tax preparation
