An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our Global FMCG Client TIGI, the brand owned by Unilever, are currently seeking an Assistant Accountant, based at their Bed Head studios in Milton Keynes, MK43 0YL (to commence working from home until COVID-19 restrictions are lifted). This is a full-time temporary role for 6 months (with the potential to become permanent) paying up to £30,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience. Ability to start ASAP essential (maximum of a 1 month notice period able to be considered).

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register
Main intercompany contact within UL and TIGI resolving issues with regarding to invoices or payments.
Raise intercompany invoices and manage debt if payment not received.
Produce and reconcile aged debtor report for trade debtors.
Calculate and reconcile the bad and aged debt provisions
Monthly revaluations of foreign currency debtors and creditors and prepare journal for month end.
Posting of monthly accruals and journals
Ensure Balance Sheet reconciliations are completed on a monthly basis
Prepares UK and EU Intrastat
Prepare GB VAT return for HMRC.
Prepare inputs for the German VAT return
Support with Payroll accounting
Support with employee expenses process
Support with Bank reconciliations
Aid in the annual external audit and internal audit.
Support Financial Accountant/Financial Controller as required for ad-hoc work

Key Requirements

Must have experience in a similar role (FMCG background would be helpful, but not essential).
AAT or equivalent preferred.
Strong MS Excel skills (comfortable with Pivot Tables, V Lookups, Formulas, etc.) – will be tested during recruitment process.
Oracle experience highly advantageous
