We are looking for an Applications Analyst for a National Accountancy Practice based in Milton Keynes
As an Applications Analyst you will understand the needs and working practices of the business, how they translate into application delivery, and how to troubleshoot, investigate and support those applications. Provide technical guidance for evaluation of software application.
Main responsibilities:
· Respond to internal end users in a timely manner to answer their queries/enquiries as received by the PM Support Helpdesk.
· Collaborate with software provider as required to resolve incidents.
· Provide training assistance for users, applications programming team and other staff.
· Analyse and review enhancements for compatibility, adhere to operating guidelines and perform integration testing.
· Provide technical expertise and assistance in designing, testing and developing applications.
· Prepare and present status reports, ad hoc reports, records and training material to end users.
· Collaborate with cross functional teams to maintain efficiency, consistency and achieve successful implementation of application upgrades/enhancements.
· Collaborate with cross functional teams to provide expert knowledge of the functionality of the CCH suites data leading to integration with other software systems.
· Lead projects as delegated by Line Manager, utilise Smartsheets to provide project breakdown, cost, status etc.
· Assist on project tasks as delegated by Line Manager.
· Investigate new technologies & make recommendations.
Essential skills:
· Experience of working in a professional practice.
· Experience of working with Wolters Kluwers Practice Management module.
– Knowledge of working with SQL – scripts, back-ups
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Interpersonal skills:
· Good communicator; via telephone, face to face and in written communications
· Customer & business focused
· Able to liaise with users, asking appropriate questions to understand the nature of the problem and provide appropriate solutions
