Our Milton Keynes-based client is looking to recruit a Accounts Assistant to join their team, so we are keen to speak with people with a strong background within accounts.
Position: Accounts Assistant
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm
Salary: Up to £22,000 per annum DOE
The job will involve…
Work within the Sales Ledger team to keep customer accounts as up to date as possible.
Control customers credit in line with company policy.
Keep sales team informed of relevant issues
Posting payments to ledger and reconciling to invoices
Taking credit card payments over the phone
Customer account reconciliations
Liaise internally and externally to resolve queries in a timely manner
Raising sales invoices and credits
Perform these duties in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with good accounting practice.
To continually develop knowledge and skills to carry out role.
The Person will…
Previous experience of Sales ledger is desirable, but not essential
Be studying for a recognised accountancy qualification
Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop within the team
Flexible
Experience of SAP Business One is desirable
Experience with Excel
Good telephone manner
