An experienced Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper is required to join a well established manufacturing firm based in the Blakelands area of Milton Keynes. This is a full time permanent accounts position, suitable for an experienced Accounts Administrator/Assistant seeking a well rounded finance position. You will be working with the company Accountant and performing accounts tasks using sage 50 as well as supporting with general office administration.

Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper Position Overview

Sage 50 accounts entering data for processing payments, invoices, statements, income, receipts and reporting for the Directors or Accountants.
Bank account reconciliation and monthly reporting
Assisting the company Accountant on monthly visit or reporting any inconsistencies to help the accountants reconcile inaccuracies.
Preparation and control of bank Audits with assistance of Accountants
Control of Petty Cash
Credit control
Invoicing (using Autoflow system) which is linked and transferred into Sage 50
Collating and preparing payroll information from the company Clockrite attendance programme. Liaise and co-ordinate with the company Accountant to produce the payroll.
Assisting customers with enquiries, booking vehicles in/out and invoicing in the absense of the office Manager
Administrative tasks such as telephone enquiries, emails, filing, scanning and general tasks. Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper Position Requirements

Sage 50 experience is essential
Experience with Autoflow would be highly advantageous
At least to years experience within an accounts / finance position
Excellent Bookkeeping skills and knowledge
AAT qualifications advantageous
A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills

Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper Position Remuneration

£25,000 – £28,000 per annum dependant on experience
Hours of work: 8.00a.m. – 4.30p.m. (Monday to Thursday) Friday 8.00a.m. – 4.00 p.m. (39.5hrs)
Lunch: Half hour lunch break
Holidays: 21 days plus 8 bank holidays with a holiday recognition in place for loyalty of service.
