Ford & Stanley – The Rail Recruitment Experts are working with an exciting engineering company to source an Accounts Assistant (Project & Management Accounting) to join the business on a 6 month contract basis.
The Opportunity-You will have responsibility for providing support across a number of Finance areas including on helping report on project costs, revenue and margin actuals and forecasts
Location: Wolverton, Milton Keynes
Role and Responsibilities:
Maintain contracts and sales orders in SAP
Orderbook and order intake reporting
Production of and review of project finance reports
Review of Contract Variations and costing sheets for financial accuracy
Review of Project Invoice requests for financial accuracy
Sales invoicing and debtor control
Preparing and posting project related journals
Preparation of project related balance sheet reconciliations
Production of financial information for Business Units (Incident, Warranty, Spares)
Inventory analysis including investigation into price variances, zero value stock items and free issue stock
Assisting with Month End Processes
Time booking analysis and adjustments
Liaison with Project Teams & other areas of the business
Ad-hoc tasks that may arise
The Candidate:
Essential:
Advanced Experience of working with Excel, especially working with Vlookups and Pivots
Experience of working with large volumes of data
Experience of working in a project based environment
Excellent organisation skills with attention to detail and excellent administration and communication skills
Proven team player with a professional attitude
Good prioritisation skills
SAP or similar ERP experience
Proactive approach to work and challenges
Desirable:
Experience with Power Queries or Power Bi
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Packages
Experience of developing reporting models and working with different systems
Experience of reviewing systems or processes and recommending improvements
