CJD Recruitment is looking for a hard-working, dedicated Accounts Assistant to join a small Finance Team in a lovely company based near to High Wycombe. This is a full time, office-based position and requires someone who has at least 1 year’s previous experience working in a similar Accounts Assistant role.
You’ll be joining an inclusive, friendly company with a fantastic working environment (think use of a games room at lunchtime, funky breakout area, fun social events, daily breakfast club and more! With the potential option of working hours to suit (between the hours of 8am & 6pm). The office is not far from a wide range of local shops and there is a fantastic Lido complete with a fully equipped gym, heated outdoor swimming pool and park area located close by too, for those who like that kind of thing!
Main duties will include:
* Daily processing of supplier invoices
* Issuing monthly credit card statements to all card holders and processing all expenses on the statements, including chasing up all required supporting documentation
* Processing all monthly invoices for the business
* Processing all monthly expenses
* Processing the business owner’s recharges on QuickBooks
* Keeping the purchase order system up to date
* Processing all purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner
* Monitoring and recording the Company credit card expenditure, ready for month end input
* Following up and resolving all supplier queries, raising payment requests if necessary
* Assisting with ad hoc projects and reporting
* Supporting the Management Accountant in all areas of development of the business and communicating with relevant departments as required
Skills/Experience required:
* Minimum 1 year’s work experience within a similar position
* Previous experience of accounting software packages, for example QuickBooks, Sage or Dynamics
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise tasks
* Strong purchase ledger skills
* Strong interpersonal skills
* The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Working hours are Monday to Friday, with the possibility of being flexible between the hours of 8am & 6pm (to be discussed at interview stage).
Salary will be up to £24,000pa (depending on experience).
