OL75 – Accounts Processing Assistant
Location: Woburn, Bedfordshire
Salary: £Competitive
Overview:
To work as part of the accounts processing team, providing proactive assistance and support with all accounting processes, including the reconciliation of accounts, payment processing and accounting administration.

Purchase Ledger
Intercompany payments
Sales Ledger
Income Posting
Petty cash
General Duties
To provide ad-hoc financial analysis as required by businesses.
To ensure account queries are resolved promptly in a professional manner.
Assist with development and documentation of the financial processes, procedures and controls within the department.
To assist with project work, as required.
To comply with any reasonable requests issued by managers of the Finance Team.
To attend training courses which are identified as being necessary for the performance of the role.
To be fully conversant with the Estate Handbook and supporting policies, including Health & Safety legislation, personal presentation, fire and emergency procedures.
Changes in the business may occasionally require alterations in this job description and these will be agreed with the post holder as appropriate.
Skills and Qualifications :
Working knowledge of purchase and sales ledger, posting to nominal ledger, reconciling cashbooks and balance sheet accounts.
Minimum of three year experience in a transactional processing role
AAT level 3 minimum

Work using procedural notes
Familiar with using Task Lists or calendar for organisation of work

Capable of looking beyond the given task and is aware of what impact their input has and what the knock on effect might be
Can respect a complex and diverse set of businesses and organisational structures and have the patience to take the time required to understand it without feeling overwhelmed
Be prepared to work with processes that are manual and demonstrate recent experience of working with manual systems
