We have a position available within our HR team for a dynamic and organised individual to fulfil. It is a varied role in which the right candidate will be responsible for working alongside and supporting the team of HR Business Partners to provide business focussed, comprehensive and pragmatic HR advice. You would be supporting the managers, and employees in line with organisational policies, procedures, legal requirements and best practice
This role will provide a dedicated HR Advisory service across the business to support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, absence management, conduct and capability, grievances, performance management etc.
Lead and support on disciplinary and grievance casework, ensuring legislation, policy and best practice are followed. This will involve coaching and supporting line managers and assisting in disciplinary and grievance meetings.
Provide support and guidance to managers on sickness absence. This includes, dealing with queries, supporting and coaching on sickness reviews and liaising with the relevant HRBP in terms of any Long term sick or capability cases.
Advise managers on recruitment and selection issues, involving development of job description, person specifications, selection processes and participating in interviews where necessary.
Provide a point of contact for managers and staff for advice and guidance on conditions of employment and HR policies and procedures
Work closely with the HRBP's on various projects around improvement of HR service
Coach managers on performance management issues and processes and supporting on performance improvement plans.
Assist and support the HRBP when dealing with any organisational change and consultation if required
Facilitating/coaching managers on HR Admin processes and procedures throughout the employee journey

Essential Skills
Typically we would estimate that it would take around 4 years' experience with at least 2 years' experience at HR Advisor level to acquire the below skills:
Proven work experience in a HR advisory or similar role
Ability to advise, coach and work with different levels of people and adapt style to suit
Sound knowledge of employment legislation
Personable with strong communication and relationship building capabilities across all levels of the business
Experience of organising and prioritising own workload on day to day basis
Resilient when dealing with sensitive issues or conflicting viewpoints
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Good working knowledge of IT packages e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Full driving licence
Ability to travel regionally with overnight stays when required
May need to work extra hours to meet deadlines or during work peaksDesired Skills
CIPD qualified – Level 5 or equivalent qualification or experience
