Procurement Manager

Scope
My client is a world leading pharmaceutical and medical aesthetics organisation. They are now seeing a procurement manager focusing on sales & marketing to join them and seek value/saving opportunities across multiple spend categories.
The role will work closely with the International Sales and Marketing and other Professional Services managers and cross-functional teams delivering value and cost-optimization opportunities, capturing cost-savings/reductions, and improving financial and operational performance.
Responsibilities:
* Proactively analyze and seek value/saving opportunities across spend categories such as: Advertising, PR, Media, Digital, On-line and Offline Consumer and all Professional Services: Fleet, HR, Consultancy, Professional Services, Patient Support Services etc and align with Category Managers on these opportunities in advance of delivery
* Compile and synthesize both business requirements and external market conditions to develop optimal commodity strategy with full understanding of potential shortfalls and risk mitigation plans
* Conduct analysis of market conditions to manage changes in the market place & develop project plans to address such issues
* Own and manage all internal and external relationships that are required in order to deliver against the global sourcing strategies for these sub-categories or suppliers
* Develops and compiles required RFI, RFQ and RFP to facilitate development of sourcing strategy
* Partner with key internal stakeholders to formulate and drive innovation
* Build and maintain a strong working knowledge of supply market conditions for the sourcing sub-categories that are being managed, as well as a good working knowledge of the supplier and sub-category offerings
* Develop, agree and implement a sourcing category strategy for the agreed categories in support of Global Sourcing objectives
* Achieve targeted results, including cost savings, for the agreed sourcing sub-categories
* Apply strategic sourcing practices and manage supplier negotiations to ensure that full benefits are realized and sustained
* Ensure effective transition from current practices to any new model including migration to e-sourcing & eProcurement systems, tools, process and guidelines
* Develop, manage and measure key supplier relationships
* Cooperate with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure continuity of Supply
* Develop and maintain stakeholder business relationship to build and win internal support for the benefit of the business
* Present to line management, intelligence and market analysis regarding product and service development opportunities
About You
* Experience in Category Management strategy. Proven track record of supplier evaluation, negotiation and selection.
* Experience in contract management and execution.
* Experience in supplier development and supplier performance.
* Strong skills in spend and performance analysis.
* Good understanding of supply market
* Good understanding of best-in-class sourcing management processes and techniques. Knowledge of ePurchasing tools (e.g. Ariba, SAP, JDE etc) would be an advantage
* Ability to identify business opportunities and prepare business proposals.
* Energetic, committed and dedicated to achieve success.
* Able to resolve problem, transition and transform sourcing activities
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
* Personal organization and self-management.
