Power BI Developer – £40,000 – £50,000 – Marlow (Remote Working) – Consultancy

Overview:
A market leading consultancy are looking for a well-established Power BI Developer to join one of their teams in Marlow on a predominantly remote basis.

Role & Responsibilities:
In this exciting role, you will work closely with the System Development and Business Intelligence teams to develop BI solutions across various areas of the business as the client look to engage in a new BI strategy, using your experience to drive the change of business intelligence throughout the company, helping to extract insights and drive informed decisions.

Using your Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence skills you'll be involved in designing, building, and deploying solutions through the MS SQL technology stack. The role will see you work with the BI team and business stakeholders across several functional areas in support of effective requirements capture and translate into technical specifications, along with creating solutions in response to those business requirements. You'll be designing our next-generation dashboards and reports in support of growing business needs.

Requirements:
• Technical experience in modelling technologies and methodologies including DAX, Power Query and M.
• Delivering high quality BI reporting and visualizations using Power BI, SSAS and SSRS
• Proficiency with T-SQL and the writing of Stored Procedures, views, reading query plans, tuning indexes, and troubleshooting performance bottlenecks; and reporting skills with the ability to interrogate data / solutions built using the Microsoft SQL technology stack.
• A passion for BI – in terms of keeping abreast of market trends and technologies and for delivering first rate content to the business.
• Knowledge or experience of working in an Agile or DevOps environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.

Desirable:
• Exposure or experience of design, development, and implementation of Azure based data migrations from an on-premise setting, will be desirable.
• Experience in working with SaaS data sources e.g. Azure SQL, Data Factory; would also be advantageous.
