Platform/DevOps Engineer – Permanent
Marlow/Remote
£40,000pa – £50,000pa + benefits
Our client’s platform forms the foundation of everything they do, and they have an exciting opportunity for a mid-senior level DevOps Engineer to join them on their journey to becoming a fast-moving team, achieving quality, reliability, and stability whilst using the latest technologies.
As a member of the platform team, you will oversee all of their critical systems, working with:
* Product Owners to enable new platform features to support the development of applications and business processes
* Architects to implement solution designs at the infrastructure level
* Software Engineers to increase their productivity
* Automation Engineers to ensure that all development work is integrated into CI/CD processes for fast, safe, and frequent deployments
Requirements
* A thirst for knowledge and commitment to continuous self-improvement
* Broad knowledge of container technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker using .NET in a production environment
* Understanding of the concept of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar tools
* Experience writing processes and tools to enable larger teams to implement their own automation tools
* Expertise deploying secure cloud architectures using Azure
* Experience with modern web services architectures, SOA and microservice technologies
* Proficient using PowerShell or other scripting languages
* An understanding of how Azure DevOps is used for building and releasing applications
Desirable
* Experience with automated and performance testing tools and processes
* Experience with Cloudflare or similar providers
* Experience with Prometheus and Grafana
* Experience in .NET or React JS
* Experience working with large data sets and event driven systems
